Rae Ann Brodie Kaylie M.Ed.
Early Childhood Special Education Consultant
Rae Ann Brodie Kaylie brings over 17 years of
expertise working with young children, families
and professionals. She holds both a Masters
and Bachelors Degrees in Early Childhood Special
Education from University of Maryland, College
Park. Rae Ann was employed by the Howard
County Public School System as a Special Education
teacher and Early Childhood Intervention Specialist
for 14 years. She served as a team leader
from 1998-2005. (She holds an advanced professional
teaching certificate from the State of Maryland,
birth through grade 8). During those 14 years,
Rae Ann worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers,
Kindergarten students and their families. The needs
ranged from mild to severe and case loads included
children with Autism, physical disabilities, speech/language
delays and developmental delays. During home
visits, Rae Ann coached families and caregivers
by demonstrating teaching techniques and introducing
developmentally appropriate materials.
Rae Ann has conducted a variety of training workshops
for parents and professionals. In addition,
she has taught classes at Anne Arundel Community
College. Rae Ann has also served as the director
of a special needs community Sunday school from
1994-1998.
